Information Technology – General Studies Track

The Information Technology (IT) – General Studies track at GTCC is designed for students who desire the ultimate in flexibility and the option to select their own IT courses for their Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree.  Aside from the required courses, you are able to create a customized degree plan based upon IT courses that interest you.  In this track you select 27 credit hours from any of our IT classes, which are then applied to your degree.  It is recommended that you select one or more of our many IT Certificate programs of study, so upon completion of the AAS degree, you will also have certificates from GTCC in their disciplines of preference.  This is not required, however, and you may select any approved IT course from the following prefixes:  CT, CIS, CSC, CTI, CTS, DBA, HBI, HIT, NET, NOS, SEC, SGD or WEB.
