Welcome to GTCC’s Adult Education department! We offer FREE classes day, evening, and online to meet your needs! Classes are held in locations throughout Guilford County. Our program is designed for students who live in North Carolina, and who are able to come to campus as needed for testing.
We provide bus passes, vouchers for GED and HiSET testing, and childcare in some classes. We also have a limited number of devices for loan to qualified students seeking to study online.

Adult High School and GED
Earn an Adult High School, GED or other High School Equivalency diploma.
Transitions
Transition to college or workforce training classes.
Back to Basics
Improve basic reading, math, and career skills.
POWER Classes
Classes for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to improve literacy and job skills.
Graduation Information
The Adult Education graduation ceremony will be at 11 a.m. May 9, 2024, at Greensboro Coliseum.
