Truck Driver Training
Drive into new opportunities with a Commercial Driver's License.
A CDL can help you reach your career goals with a variety of in-demand job opportunities.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, "Employment of heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers is projected to grow 4% from 2021 to 2031, about as fast as the average for all occupations. As the demand for goods increases, more truck drivers will be needed to keep supply chains moving."
This comprehensive training program will teach you the skills you need to pass the NCDOT’s CDL skills and knowledge tests and give you hands-on driving practice. Scholarships are available to help cover program costs.
Truck Driver Training Classes
The truck driver training (TDT) curriculum provides students with training to inspect and operate tractor-trailers and to assume responsibilities on the road and at pickup/delivery points. Emphasis is placed on vehicle inspection, defensive driving, range maneuvers, motor carrier’s safety regulations, trip planning, cargo handling, size/weight laws, general maintenance procedures; hours of service, and vehicle accident prevention.
Before registration, you must submit:
